December 2010 I was in progress to make a longterm-investment in the agriculture sector at the stock exchange.
By accident I found the website http://www.philagrivest.com during my research.
Because this kind of project sounded very interested and resonable to me, I sent an email to this company.
Will Irwin promptly replied and fowarded it also to Chris Bech in the Philippines.
From the very beginning it as a very nice contact with all guys.
So my girlfriend and me decided to visit Tablas Island for some vacation and to have a closer look on this business.
From the pick-up at the airport until the end of our stay 12 days later, Mr. Chris Bech and his wife took care of us in a very friendly and at the same time professional way. We had the possibility to see many places at Tablas Island and we were also invited at Chris Bech’s private farm where he also take care of a lot of cute animals. We got also the chance to follow him on a trip to Boracay with his own speedboat and spent one night there.
So we got the big picture of the tourist entertainment location and the contrast of the stil peaceful and silent Tablas Island.
I can imaging that there will come up developments too, but in a more sustainable way then in other places.
And that is great and is a great chance for all investors. Even me, I have some plans to start a business there during the next year to cater the demands of the growing amount of tourists there. Never during our stay or even after our vacation I got any „selling-pressure“ of Mr. Chris Bech.
In spring I returned to Tablas and in the end of April 2011, I got the opportunity (as a non-investor!) to attend the annual board meeting of the PhilAgrivest Inc. This want a great chance for me to learn more about the company and to meet some investors in person. All things considered this was a very professional event and strenghen my confidence in this project. Due to my private situation my personal investment plans generally are slightly delayed just know but according to that what I have seen and researched I can recommend this company to everbody who is interested to long-term invest in the Romblon province.
I really admire Mr. Chris Bech together with his enthusiastic and motived team for all the work they made during a such short period of time. Everbody who knows the Philippines a little bit better knows about all the daily challenges and during my last 9 years in the Philippines I met only a few persons with the same energy and spirit.
