The new provincial Governor (Hon. Eduardo C. Firmalo, M.D. fpogs) is pushing forward strongly with tourism development, with projects such as:
A new ferry boat terminal being constructed at Calatrava (just north of our Pilinut Farm and the retirement community at Tablas)
- 1. A new ferry boat service being launched to Marinduque and the other Romblon Islands
2. A new super passenger cruise ship service starting in 2011 with service from Manila to Tablas
3. The Governor of Romblon is a medical professor himself and is giving the highest priority to improve- and extend the existing hospital. Any updates will be published here lateron.
And to emphasize the influence that the officers of PhilAgriVest, Inc and Sunset Beach Villas, Inc have on tourism growth on Tablas, it is worthy to note that Chris Bech has been appointed by the Governor to the Romblon Provincial Tourism Council, which serves as a consultative body and is charged with spearheading the development of tourism in the province.
